General Terms and Conditions

Vrbov – Article I.

for the provision of accommodation services at Hotel Galica
Contracting Parties
1. The contracting parties for the provision of accommodation services (hereinafter referred to as “Services”) by Hotel GALICA (hereinafter referred to as the “Hotel”) to clients are:
a/ VRBOVTHERM, s.r.o., Slavkovská 2408, 060 01 Kežmarok – operator of Hotel GALICA,
registered in the Commercial Register of the District Court of Prešov, Section Sro, Insert No. 36499/P, Company ID: 36186481, VAT ID: SK 2021412217
b/ Natural persons or legal entities (hereinafter referred to as “Clients”)
2. Clients may submit a booking request for the provision of Services (hereinafter referred to as a “Reservation”) via the internet.
3. The content of the Reservation is specified on the Hotel’s website – www.hotelgalica.sk
4. If the Hotel’s capacity allows, the Reservation meets all required criteria, and the Client provides the necessary information to fulfill the request, the Hotel will confirm provision of the Services according to the Reservation.
5. The Reservation is confirmed by the Hotel via the internet.
Article II.
Provision of Services by the Hotel to Clients
1. The Hotel provides Services to Clients based on their Reservation only after it has been confirmed by the Hotel, and in accordance with this confirmation, unless otherwise agreed by the parties.
2. The Hotel provides Services to Clients in the agreed scope, otherwise in the scope and manner defined by the Hotel’s valid materials, especially its website www.hotelgalica.sk
3. The Client is obliged to pay the agreed price for the Services provided by the Hotel; otherwise, the price listed in the Hotel’s current price list applies. This applies to the amount, method, and timing of the payment.
4. The Hotel is entitled to require prepayment or a deposit. The Hotel must inform the Client of this in writing when confirming the Reservation. The deposit amount depends on the length of stay and selected services and is confirmed in writing with the Client’s consent, charged directly from the Client’s card via their bank. The reservation process cannot be completed without entering credit card details.
5. The price of the Hotel Services is based on the Reservation confirmation. Unless agreed otherwise, the prices published at the reception and on the Hotel’s website apply.
6. The payment for Services is due no later than the last day of the agreed stay.
Article III.
Client’s Rights and Obligations
1. The Client is entitled to use the Services from 14:00 on the first day of the stay.
2. The Client must vacate and return the room(s) no later than 11:00 on the last day of the agreed stay, unless otherwise agreed. If the Client fails to do so, they are obliged to pay the Hotel the full daily rate for each day of delay, as per the Hotel’s current price list available at the reception and on the website.
3. If the Client does not check in by 24:00 on the first day of the agreed stay and no alternative agreement has been made via writing, fax, or the internet, the Hotel may cancel the Client’s Reservation.
4. The Client has the right to unilaterally cancel a confirmed Reservation.
5. In the event of such unilateral cancellation, the Client is obliged to pay a cancellation fee as specified in points 6 and 7 of this Article.
6. If the Client notifies the Hotel of the cancellation by 18:00 at least 15 days before the first day of the stay, the Hotel will not charge a cancellation fee and will refund the deposit previously charged to the Client’s credit card.
7. If the cancellation is made after the deadline stated in point 6, the Hotel has the right to retain the deposit as a cancellation fee.

Alternative Dispute Resolution

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) and the legal relationships arising from them are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic. Any disputes arising from these GTC or the Agreement shall be resolved before the competent court in the Slovak Republic. The handling of Client complaints related to the Services provided by the Hotel is governed by the Hotel’s Complaints Procedure.

If the Client – as a consumer – is not satisfied with the manner in which the Hotel has handled their complaint, or if they believe that the Hotel has violated their rights, the Client has the right to contact the Hotel as the seller with a request for redress.

If the Hotel responds to the Client’s request with a rejection or fails to respond within 30 (thirty) days from the date of submission, the Client has the right to submit a proposal for alternative dispute resolution to an entity authorized to handle such disputes, in accordance with § 12 of Act No. 391/2015 Coll. on Alternative Resolution of Consumer Disputes and on the Amendment and Supplementation of Certain Acts.

The relevant entity for alternative dispute resolution with the Hotel as the seller is the Slovak Trade Inspection, which may be contacted for this purpose at:

Alternatively, the Client may contact another authorized legal entity listed in the Register of Alternative Dispute Resolution Entities maintained by the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic. The list of authorized entities is available at:

The Client has the right to choose which of the authorized entities to contact for alternative dispute resolution.

Article IV.
Final Provisions
1. These General Terms and Conditions and the legal relationships arising from them are governed by Slovak law.
2. The stay of Clients in the Hotel is governed by the Hotel Accommodation Rules, which are binding for all guests. The rules are available at the Hotel reception.
3. If the Client provides the bank with any credit card details, including the card number, such data serves as a guarantee for the Reservation and as a means for charging the required deposit. The actual payment for the stay is made directly at the Hotel. The deposit will be deducted from the final bill as a prepayment.
4. By submitting a Reservation, canceling a Reservation, or checking in to the Hotel, the Client confirms they are familiar with and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
5. These General Terms and Conditions for the provision of accommodation services at Hotel Solisko come into effect on May 15, 2025.

 

10.5. Alternative dispute resolution - These General Terms and Conditions and legal relationships arising on their basis are governed by Slovak law. Any disputes arising from these GTC and the Agreement will be settled before the competent court in the Slovak Republic. The resolution of Clients' complaints in relation to the Services provided by the Hotel is regulated by the Hotel's Complaints Procedure. In the event that the Client - consumer is not satisfied with the manner in which the Hotel handled his complaint, or believes that the Hotel has violated his rights, the Client has the right to contact the Hotel as a seller with a request for redress. If the Hotel responds negatively to the Client's request in accordance with the previous sentence or does not respond to such a request within 30 (thirty) days from the date of its sending by the Client, the Client has the right to submit a proposal for the initiation of alternative dispute resolution to the entity of alternative dispute resolution pursuant to § 12 of Act no. 391/2015 Coll. on alternative resolution of consumer disputes and on amendments to certain laws. The competent entity for the alternative resolution of consumer disputes with the Hotel as a seller is: Slovak Trade Inspection, which can be contacted for the stated purpose at the address Central Inspectorate of SOI, Department of International Relations and ARS, Prievozská 32, postal folder 29, 827 99 Bratislava, or electronically at ARS @soi.sk, or adr@soi.sk, or another relevant authorized legal entity registered in the list of alternative dispute resolution entities maintained by the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic (the list of authorized entities is available at https://www.mhsr.sk/obchod/ consumer-protection/alternative-resolution-of-consumer-disputes-1/list-of-subjects-of-alternative-resolution-of-consumer-disputes-1, while the Client has the right to choose which of the listed alternative dispute resolution entities to turn to. alternative resolution of your consumer dispute, use the online platform for alternative dispute resolution, which is available at https://europa.eu/youreurope/business/dealing-with-customers/solving-disputes/online-dispute-resolution/index_sk.htm .
